Minister Ali Sabry, PC, has been appointed as the Minister of Justice, the President’s Media Division (PMD) said today.
Ali Sabry was sworn in as the new Minister of Justice before President Gotabaya Rajapaksa at the President’s House in Colombo Fort this afternoon (26).
His new appointment is in addition to his existing portfolio of the Minister of Finance.
Minister Sabry served as the Minister of Justice in the previous cabinet which in its entirety resigned on 3rd April. Following the resignation, President Rajapaksa appointed Sabry to the Finance Minister post.
Secretary to the President Gamini Senarath was also present at the occasion.
